AP - Many of the thousands of troops who suffered traumatic brain injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan are at risk of long-term health problems including depression and Alzheimer's-like dementia, but it's impossible to predict how high those risks are, researchers say.

Repeat Prescriptions

As from the 8th December 2008 we will be introducing a dedicated phone number for repeat prescription requests. The number will be 028 90813266 and it will be available almost 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

When you ring you will be asked for your name, your date of birth, your address and what medications you want to order.

The requests will be processed each working day between 11am and 1pm (during this time the service will not be available) and your prescription will be ready for collection the following working day after 3pm.

We will no longer be able to accept requests for repeat prescriptions on 02890812211 after this date.

Prescriptions can still be ordered on line - please see Emis Access link on right.

Evening Surgery

We have been granted funding from EHSSB to hold a series of evening surgeries to see if this is of benefit to our patients.

The surgeries will be held on a Monday and Wednesday evening between 6:30pm & 8:30pm and will consist of Doctor & Nurse appointments.

Please phone for an appointment or book over the internet.

The surgery will only be open to those patients who have a booked appointment. Patients will not be able to pick up scripts, collect forms, book appointments etc and telephone calls will not be received.

The normal Out of Hours Service at Forestside will be available for anyone requiring Urgent medical attention after 6pm

Flu Vaccinations

Our Flu Clinics are all now completed but we will be running a catchup clinic on Wednesday 3rd December from 9am - 12:30pm. This is for all patients who were invited by letter to the Flu Clinics in October but for some reason may not have bee able to attend.

Practice Location and Practice Area

The practice is located in purpose built premises on the corner of the Ballynahinch Road and Hillsborough Road. The car park, which is shared with the pharmacy, is accessed from the Hillsborough Road. The practice area is approximately within a 5 mile radius of the surgery. The practice premises have access and facilities for all disabled persons.
