Childhood Immunisation
There has recently been a change to the vaccines given to babies.
The pneumococcal vaccination has been introduced at 2 months, 4 months and 15 months.
For babies over 2 months and under 2 years a vaccine catchup programme has been arranged. Some babies depending on their age, may require two doses of the vaccine with a gap of eight weeks between doses.
The wave of catchup clinics are continuing at the Surgery during January and February and parents whose children need vaccinated will be receiving a letter shortly to ask them to ring the Surgery to make an appointment for their child.
