Appointments
The practice operates an appointment system only, with one appointment per person. Appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery or by calling at reception. It would be helpful if you could be punctual and could cancel any appointments that you no longer require. Please note children under 14 should be accompanied by an adult.
We will endeavour to provide you with an appointment with the doctor/nurse of your choice but as sometimes this is not possible, we will offer you a suitable alternative.

During the summer months we will no longer be running the emergency surgery as we feel that the demand will reduce for emergency appointments. We will be making more routine appointments available and more appointments will be released 48 hours in advance making it possibel to get an appointment within 48 hours of requesting it
If you feel that your condition requires an emergency appointment, please ring the surgery as early as possible. An emergency appointment is a 5 minute appointment with an appropriate healthcare professional to discuss one condition only. We do use an appointment system so patients who arrive at the surgery without an appointment will probably have to wait until those patients who have prebooked an appointment have been seen.
House calls, unless urgent, should be requested before 10:30am to allow for preparation and review of medical records etc
The practice also provides a Minor Injuries Service. This means that patients with the following problems can attend the surgery instead of A&E. The patient will be given an appropriate unscheduled appointment with a clinical professional but there may be a significant waiting time depending on how busy the surgery is
Lacerations that can be closed by suturing (stitching)
2. Minor finger/toe dislocations
3. Foreign bodies lodged in skin etc
4. Foreign bodies in eyes
5. Minor burns & scalds
6. Head injury where there has been no loss of consciousness
